Releasing at quite a clip, 2 per year, Tapes and Topographies has put out a new gorgeous fuzzy ambient album. Perfectly exemplary of Robert Rich’s conception of slow music, Modalities features 10 stanzas of long cycle drones with surprising sonic layers.
