My dear beloveds.
This has been a dark hour in our country and across the globe.
Nationalism has spread in many countries like the U.K. with Brexit and now the U.S. and has been growing for years.
As we have had to grapple with such difficult times, many of us have lashed out at each other. Myself included.
For anyone I have brought unease or pain to in my stance, know I love you and my response came from pain and concern not hate.
I have been seeing this division coming down the pipe for sometime and it was a deep inspiration for the concept of my last album ‘Echoes’.
All of my albums are concept albums and ‘Echoes’ was about duality and how we ‘other’ each other.
I truly believe music is one of the strongest medicines and this album was written as a mantra for healing.
Written on the cover is one of my favorite poems by Rumi.
“We are the mirror as well as the face in it.
We are tasting the taste this minute
of eternity. We are pain
and what cures pain, both.We are the sweet cold water
and the jar that pours.”I have decided to make the album free for download in the hopes it will help people heal and move through this transition.
